SMDC Welcomes Dr. Josta Wismeijer To Their Medical Team of GP Specialists

Sint Maarten Diagnostic Center (SMDC) is proud to introduce the newest member of our medical team: Dr. Josta Wismeijer, a highly experienced and fully certified General Practitioner (GP/Huisarts).
Dr. Wismeijer brings with her over 20 years of international medical expertise, having trained in The Netherlands and worked across Suriname, Aruba, Holland, and the United Kingdom. She pursued advanced studies at the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), where she earned a Masters in Tropical Medicine and International Health, before specializing in General Practice in London and achieving her MRCGP certification.
Her dedication to advancing patient care extends beyond the clinic. She obtained a postgraduate certificate in Diabetes management, supported the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)Â during the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, and later trained as an army doctor with the Dutch Forces, where she also gained a Travel Medicine license.
With a passion for prevention, healthy living, and a holistic approach to medicine, Dr. Wismeijer has now chosen to call Sint Maarten home and has joined our clinic with the aim of improving the health and well-being of both residents and visitors alike.

Dr. Josta Wismeijer will now be seeing all patients registered under Dr. Dennaoui’s clinic. She is a BIG-rated, fully certified GP/Huisarts, and we are confident that her knowledge, compassion, and holistic approach to healthcare will be an asset to our patients and our community.
